Main Station- Station 5

From 1931 until 1936, the fire company used a garage across from our current location, in what is known as the Lahaska Antique Court. In 1936 an adjacent property containing a house and barn was purchased, which became the home of the fire company for the next twenty-two years. In 1958 we purchased the building that we now use as our main station. This building was originally built in 1830 and housed a horse drawn carriage manufacturer until it was bought some years later and used as a Quaker Meeting House until 1958. The main station became designated as Station 5 under the Bucks County fire company identification system. This station has had numerous additions and renovations such as the six-bay addition that was dedicated in 1980 that now houses our apparatus.

Apparatus currently housed at Station 5 include:

  • Engine 5
  • Ladder 5
  • Rescue 5
  • Field 5
  • Tanker 5

Other features of Station 5:

  • Administrative Offices
  • Meeting rooms
  • Training and committee work room
  • Lounge area
  • Kitchen
  • Self contained breathing apparatus fill station
  • Exhaust evacuation system
  • Fuel tanks for filling our trucks

In addition to providing fire protection and rescue services to our first due areas within Buckingham and Solebury, Station 5 personnel provide mutual aid to surrounding fire companies such as Lingohocken, New Hope and Point Pleasant, and others, when needed.

Substation- Station 15

As both Buckingham and Solebury started to experience significant growth, the need for a second station developed. Members of the fire company worked with Buckingham Township to build a garage at the corner of Mechanicsville Road and Church School Roads. This garage would house some of the Township’s road maintenance vehicles as well as what was until that time Engine 5-1. In 1982 the fire company officially had a substation now designated as Station 15 that housed the newly designated Engine 15. While this substation was little more than a heated garage, it was home to Engine 15 and a crew of firefighters until 1997.

In 1996 construction was started the current substation on Route 413 between Long Lane and Cold Spring Creamery Road in Buckingham Township. This station became home to Engine 15 and Tanker 15.

Crews responding to the new station could not only provide additional fire protection to the growing Cold Spring Corridor, but to our mutual aid fire companies such as Doylestown, Point Pleasant, and Plumsteadville. In early 1997, Station 15 was dedicated and the fire company took delivery of new engine, Engine 15. The old Engine 15 was reassigned to Station 5 as Engine 5-1. Since the new Engine 15 was equipped with rescue tools, the fire company had a second truck that could provide rescue services.

Apparatus currently housed at Station 15 include:

  • Engine 15
  • Engine 15-1
  • Fire Police 5
  • Utility 15

Other features of Station 15:

  • 2 offices
  • Storage area
  • Lounge area
  • Kitchen
  • Exhaust evacuation system
  • Fuel tanks for filling our trucks
