MVFC SupportS RUN 2 RESPOND
On Sunday, August 6, 2017, Midway Volunteer Fire Company, posed for a photo of the baton being passed in support of RUN 2 RESPOND. Immediately following the baton pass the Company escorted the runners and bike support team through our response area. For more information visit: www.run2respond.com
Valley Vet Clinic donates Pet Oxygen Masks
On Saturday, July 22, 2017 President Steve Tori, of the Midway Volunteer Fire Company received a donation of two sets of Pet Oxygen Masks from Chris Feaster VMD, owner of the Valley Vet Clinic. This donation will allow an engine from each of Midway’s Stations to have a unit onboard and available for immediate use.These pet masks sets are designed to help administer oxygen assisted breathing, for a variety of domestic animals who are suffering from smoke inhalation. Valley Vet Clinic is located at 2137 Durham Rd. in Buckingham.
Camp Curiosity Visit
On Tuesday, July 25, 2017 Midway Volunteer Fire Company's Ladder 5 made a visit to Camp Curiosity in Buckingham Township to support the summer egg drop contest. The eggs were in protective containers designed by the campers. After dropping 30 to 50 feet the majority of the eggs survived. Well done campers!
Camp Nazarene Visit
On Saturday, July 8, 2017 Midway Volunteer Fire Company's Engine 5 made a visit to Camp Nazarene in Buckingham Township for a show and tell. Activities included fire hose practice, equipment tours and rides. Regardless if you were 7 years old or 72 years old trying on a real firefighters helmet brings a smile to your face. We want to thank our hosts for their hospitality!
Joint Exercise
2017.06.25 - Midway Volunteer Fire Company and Point Pleasant Fire Company held a joint rescue training exercise off of Point Pleasant Pike near River Road.
Peddler's Village Fundraiser
2017.06.22 - Peddler's Village held a successful fund raising event for Midway Volunteer Fire Department. A portion of the proceeds from the evening's events will go to the fire company in support of Midway's fire/rescue work in Buckingham and Solebury Townships.
